Itinerary

Day 1 | Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Valley Of Roses – Dades Valley

Our private driver will meet you at your accommodation (Riad or hotel) to begin your journey through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N-Tichka pass (2,260 m). Along the way, we will stop at several panoramic viewpoints to admire the breathtaking landscapes of the region.

We will continue towards Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the foothills on the southern slopes of the High Atlas Mountains in the Province of Ouarzazate. This historic ksar (fortified village) is the most famous in the Ounila Valley and is a stunning example of southern Moroccan architecture. Inside its defensive walls, reinforced with angle towers and a fortified gate, you will find a collection of traditional homes—some modest and others resembling small castles adorned with intricate clay brick motifs. The ksar also includes community spaces and historical structures, making it a remarkable site to explore.

After discovering Ait Ben Haddou, we will enjoy lunch in the village before continuing our journey through Ouarzazate. Here, you have the option to visit the famous cinema studios, where many Hollywood films and TV series have been shot.

The journey then takes us through Kelaat M’Gouna, the capital of Morocco’s Valley of Roses, known for its fragrant rose fields and rose-based products.

By evening, we will arrive at Dades Valley, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel or kasbah in this picturesque region.

Day 2 | Dades Valley – Tinghir – Tafilalet – Merzouga (Camel Ride & Desert Night)

After a delicious breakfast, we will depart from Dades Valley and head towards the breathtaking Merzouga Desert. Along the way, we will pass through traditional Berber villages, offering glimpses of authentic Moroccan life.

Our journey takes us through Tinghir and Tinjdad, eventually reaching Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara. Here, you will feel the transition into the vast Tafilalet Oasis, a lush region known for its date palms and historical significance.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, we will take a short break before embarking on an unforgettable camel trek through the mesmerizing Erg Chebbi sand dunes. As we ride into the heart of the desert, you’ll witness a breathtaking sunset, offering an incredible opportunity for photography.

At our desert camp, you will enjoy a magical evening with traditional Berber music around a campfire, under a sky filled with stars. We will also climb the high dunes for a panoramic view of the Sahara at dusk.

You will spend the night in authentic Berber tents, experiencing the peace and beauty of the desert.

Day 3 | Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, we will begin our journey northward, passing through the stunning Tafilalet palm grove, the largest in the world. Along this 20 km stretch, you will see thousands of palm trees, creating a breathtaking landscape.

Our next stop is the Ziz Valley, where the Ziz River, originating from the High Atlas Mountains, nourishes the lush oasis below. From a high panoramic viewpoint, we will take a break to enjoy the magnificent view of the valley and the nearby town of Aoufous.

Continuing our drive, we will arrive in Midelt, known as the "Apple Capital" of Morocco, located in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. Here, we will have free time for lunch and relaxation.

After lunch, we resume our journey, passing through several small towns and villages, where you may catch a glimpse of nomadic families living in traditional tents.

We then reach Azrou, home to Morocco’s famous cedar forest, the largest in the country. Here, we will stop to observe and interact with wild Berber apes in their natural habitat.

Next, we visit Ifrane, a unique Moroccan town situated at 1,630 meters above sea level on the northwest slope of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Known for its clean streets, European-style architecture, lush gardens, and ski resort (Michlifen), Ifrane is often referred to as "the Switzerland of Morocco."

Finally, we continue our drive to Fes, where we will arrive in the evening.

Day 4 | Exploring Fes with a local guide

After breakfast, you will meet your local guide, who will take you on an immersive journey through the hidden gems of Fes, allowing you to explore its rich history and culture.

You will delve deep into the heart of the old Medina, wandering through its narrow cobblestone streets, lined with ancient mosques, bustling souks, and towering green-glass minarets.

The tour includes visits to some of Fes’ most beautiful palaces and historical monuments, offering a glimpse into its architectural splendor.

You will also explore the famous tanneries, where leather is still dyed using traditional techniques, and visit a ceramic cooperative, where skilled artisans craft stunning Moroccan pottery.

After a full day of exploration, you will spend the night in a Riad, with accommodation including bed and breakfast.

Day 5 | Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will begin our journey to Meknes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way, we will first stop to explore the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, once the Roman capital in Morocco. The ruins of Volubilis are located amidst a fertile plain, offering fascinating insights into Morocco's Roman past.

From Volubilis, we will continue towards Chefchaouen, arriving in the afternoon.

Chefchaouen, often referred to as the "Blue City", is nestled between two mountains. Its steep, narrow streets are lined with white and indigo plastered buildings, and the town is dotted with beautiful squares, fountains, and decorative houses. The richly adorned doors and red-tiled roofs add to the charm, making Chefchaouen a delightful place to explore.

After a day of exploring, we will enjoy dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

Day 6 | Full day to discover Chefchaouen

Today, you will have an entire day to explore the charming city of Chefchaouen with its steep, narrow streets and white and indigo buildings.

Start your exploration in Place Uta el-Hamman, the square at the heart of the old town. This lively spot is perfect for a relaxing walk and is located near the Great Mosque.

Nearby, you can visit Fondouk, the Kasbah, and the Museum, which all offer a glimpse into the city’s rich history and culture.

The Medina itself is a labyrinth of alleys, home to more than 100 weaver workshops. Chefchaouen is renowned for its handwoven woolen garments, especially its signature woolen jellies.

Another highlight is the Quartier Al-Andalus neighborhood, where you’ll find beautifully decorated and painted houses that add to the town's colorful character.

After a full day of discovery, you will return to your Riyadh (traditional Moroccan guesthouse) for an overnight stay.

Day 7 | Chefchaouen – Casablanca / Marrakech / Agadir

After breakfast, we will begin our journey, driving from Chefchaouen to your preferred final destination: Casablanca, Marrakech, or Agadir.

You will have the flexibility to choose whether you would like to end your trip in Casablanca, Marrakech, or Agadir, depending on your departure city or travel preferences.
